At fifteen, life had taught me undeniably that surrender, in its place, was as honorable as resistance, especially if one had no choice. .

The Internet is an amazing tool, but it can also be used to perpetuate horrible crimes. As of this date, we know of more than 1,600 children who have been sexually abused or exploited through the production of images or movies of their abuse. Every day these cruel images are distributed and traded around the world over the Internet. We are working to stop the distribution, but until a solution is reached we hope this website will educate and empower the children hurt by these terrible crimes.

As Attorney General for Florida, I refuse to let these victims be silenced or allow their suffering to be minimized. The crime of child pornography is perpetuated every time the images are distributed. For those victims and their families, the suffering continues long after the abuser goes to prison. It is my sincere hope that this website will bring you healing and strength, and that it will send a clear message to the community and the criminals that we will not allow them to continue this crime.
